New Partners Join Forces to Expand Brownstein Hyatt Farber Schreck’s Government Relations and Intellectual Property Practices

  • Jim Flood and Aaron Cummings will join as shareholders in the firm’s Government Relations Department, based out of Washington, D.C.
  • Evan Chuck will join as a shareholder in the firm’s Government Relations Department, splitting his time between Los Angeles and Washington, D.C.
  • Anne Elise Herold Li and Paul Keller will join as shareholders in the firm’s Intellectual Property Department, based out of New York.
  • Scott Douglas will join the firm as a policy director in the Government Relations Department, based out of Washington, D.C.

The Expertise of the Newly Mined Partners

Evan Chuck, a seasoned strategist for multinational corporations and private equity firms, joins Brownstein to build a geopolitical risk practice focused on international trade and national security. With over 30 years of experience in corporate and international trade, Chuck will provide clients with expert guidance on navigating conflicts between U.S. law and China’s Antiforeign Sanctions Law, PRC Export Control Law, Unreliable Entity List, and Cybersecurity Law. Aaron Cummings, a highly respected policy adviser and advocate, brings extensive high-level leadership experience on Capitol Hill, including serving as chief of staff to Sen. Chuck Grassley. Cummings will counsel clients on legislative and regulatory issues, representing them before Congress, the White House, and federal agencies. The intellectual property expertise of newly minted partners Anne Elise Herold Li and Paul Keller will be a valuable asset to the firm. Li is a first-chair trial lawyer and member of a Chambers-ranked patent team, with a focus on the life sciences industry. Keller, meanwhile, brings over 30 years of experience advising clients on high-stakes patent, trade secret, trademark, copyright, and commercial matters.
